Reading Stadium

Reading Stadium was an English greyhound racing track in Bennett Road, Reading in the county of Berkshire, with the Reading Racers speedway team also tenants of the site.
It opened under the ownership of Allied Presentations in 1975 replacing the previous Reading track located in Oxford Road that had been closed by the Greyhound Racing Association in 1973. The new venue was built by owner-trainer Bill Dore.
The site was leased by (Stadia UK ) in later years and the final greyhound meeting took place on Saturday, 18 October 2008. The stadium was subsequently demolished.
The stadium held a greyhound competition called the Reading Masters and the prize money was second only to the English Greyhound Derby. The race was held from 1992 until 2007.
